The First Lady of Edo State governor, Mrs. Lara Oshiomhole, has identified with the plight of the less privileged in the state, by visiting four orphanages in Benin City.

This is an effort in identifying with the needy and less privileged in the society and state, and able to offer her assistance in her own little way.

Lara Oshiomhole, stated that identifying with the needy and less privileged in the society was a fulfilment of her personal dreams.

In a statement by Executive Director, Media Affairs, Governor’s Office, Mr. John Mayaki, she said, “Taking time out of office schedule to access the living conditions at the orphanages will provide a first-hand information of their needs and set the tone for the advancement of the Edo Task Force on Orphanages.”

She further expressed her optimism that she and her team will do its best to improve the standard of living at orphanage homes.
