The London born star Alan Rickman has died at the age of 69 after waging a secret battle with cancer, his family said today.
Rickman played the role of Professor Snape in the Harry Potter movie franchise.
The British actor, kept his fight with cancer a secret before his death. He passed away in a hospital surrounded by relatives and friends.
His death comes shortly before the release of a new film called Eye In The Sky, due to open in UK on the 8th of April.
