Suicide bombers strike in Chibok

Chibok was rocked by suicide bombing attacks on Wednesday which left about 13 people dead and 30 injured. 

It was reported that five female insurgents kitted with explosives hidden under their gowns entered Chibok town at about 1:30pm according to local sources. Three of them were eventually able to detonate the bombs, which also injured 30 others.

One of the suicide bomber, who was targeting a military checkpoint near Wumtaku Street, did not record much success because only a soldier was injured there.

Since the abduction of over 300 schoolgirls on the April 14, 2014, Chibok has suffered several attacks by Boko Haram insurgents.
