A 28 year old mother of one, was arrested yesterday by the Bayelsa State Police Command, yesterday, who allegedly sold her three months old baby girl for N300,000.
Mr. Asinim Butswat, the spokesman for the police command gave the name of the woman as Oyikepreye Enoch.
She was arrested yesterday by men of the Akenfa Division, following a tip-off.
He said: “The suspect sold her child to one Esther Tony, 30, for N300,000.”
Butswat, a Deputy Superintendent of Police, added that both suspects were undergoing interrogation at the Akenfa Police Station, Yenagoa.
