Angelique Kerber shows off her trophy at the Government House in Australia

Australian open champion Angelique Kerber, shows off her trophy after beating  world number one Serena Williams in yesterday's game.

The 28-year-old Kerber beat Williams 6-3, 4-6, 6-4 to win the title.

This is Kerber's first grand slam win. Looks like it's going to be a good year for the German.
