Ihenacho buries Stoke City as Man City win 4-0

Nigerian youth sensation Kelechi Ihenacho scored twice as Manchester City demolished Stoke City 4-0. It was a perfect preparation for Pellegrini's men ahead of their Champions League semi-final against Real Madrid and they had the luxury of resting Belgian duo of Vincent Kompany and Kevin De Bruyne.

City went 2-0 up within the first 45 minutes thanks to a 35th-minute Fernando header and a Sergio Aguero penalty, awarded following a Ryan Shawcross challenge on Iheanacho.

Stoke tried to reduce the deficit after the break but any hope of a comeback was dashed when Iheanacho put the match to bed. The Nigerian buried a cutback from Pablo Zabaleta, who was making his 300th City appearance. The 19-year old rounded Haugaaard, who had come in as a half time substitute for Shay Given, after been played in by Bony.

The result moves City third ahead of Arsenal's clash with Sunderland on Sunday, while local rivals Manchester United remain in 5th place. His two goals take his tally up to 11 goals.
