Pilot Crashes plane close to where his wife worked

Doug Demarest was killed in a fiery crash on Tuesday in Alaska, his aircraft swiped an office building where his wife worked.

His wife Katherine is an associate at a law firm. She was not at work at the time of the crash, which happened before 7am. Officials have not said whether they are treating the incident merely as an accident or, because of the building that was hit, a deliberate crash. There were heavy winds in the area Tuesday morning. The Civil Air Patrol said Doug was not authorized to fly the aircraft that crashed.

Plane crash in India

10 members of India’s Border Security Force (BSF) were killed when a chartered Beechcraft King Air plane crashed after hitting a wall in Dwarka district. The plane went down shortly after takeoff, killing all on board.

The plane had lost contact with the Air traffic control and was said to be making a return to the airport due to an apparent technical problem about five minutes after takeoff. Prime Minister Narendra Modi said he was pained by the loss of lives in the BSF plane crash in Delhi and his thoughts are with the families of the deceased.
