10 members of India’s Border
Security Force (BSF) were killed when a chartered Beechcraft King Air plane
crashed after hitting a wall in Dwarka district. The plane went down shortly
after takeoff, killing all on board.
The plane had lost contact
with the Air traffic control and was said to be making a return to the airport
due to an apparent technical problem about five minutes after takeoff. Prime
Minister Narendra Modi said he was pained by the loss of lives in the BSF plane
crash in Delhi and his thoughts are with the families of the deceased.
