50 killed in multiple Boko Haram attacks

Suicide attacks by suspected Boko Haram militants have left more than 50 killed and hundreds injured in Adamawa and Borno state.

Three young female suicide bombers detonated explosives at different locations in the country. Two of the girls detonated their explosives together in Madagali market on Monday morning leaving about 30 people dead. Hours later, a teenage female suicide bomber killed one and left about 7 injured.

The previous day had seen the Nigerian troops battle armed Boko Haram fighters who were trying to enter Maiduguri. This face off left about 21 dead and 91 others injured.

These killings come almost on the eve of the deadline given to the military by President Muhammadu Buhari to destroy the Boko Haram sect and end the insurgence in North East Nigeria
