BBC has reported that Nasser al-Bahri, Osama Bin Laden's former bodyguard has passed away after a long illness. He passed away on Saturday in a hospital in the Southern city of Mukalla.
He was also a driver for the late al-Qaeda leader, when he was in Afghanistan. He took part in attacks in Bosnia, Somalia and Afghanistan before renouncing the terrorist group. He was imprisoned at Guantanamo Bay jail before being returned to Yemen in 2008.
Bin Laden was killed by special forces in Pakistan in May 2011.
