APGA's Alex Otti declared winner of Abia governorship election

The candidate of the All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA), has been declared winner of the Abia State Gubernatorial  election by the Appeal Court.

Alex Otti had taken his case to the appeal court after the petition he filed against the election of Governor Okezie Ikpeazu was thrown out by the election tribunal.

The court ruled on Thursday that the APGA candidate in the election be sworn out while the incumbent governor was asked to vacate office. Okezie Ikpeazu, who ran on the ticket of the People’s Democratic Party, was declared winner in April by the Independent National Electoral Commission.
