Shakira and Messi are UN advocates for Sustainable Development Goals

The United Nations has released 15 eminent people around the world as United Nations Advocates for the Sustainable Development Goals.

Singer and song writer Shakira, Lionel Messi, Forest Whitaker, Richard Curtis and Professor Muhammad Yuns and many more joins the list.

The 15 people selected will add powerful voices to the visionary and transformational global goals, which was launched this year at the UN member states to end poverty, fight inequalities and tackle climate change, while leaving no one behind.

The diverse group includes Heads of state and government, business and political leaders and prominent academia, as well as artists who have shown outstanding leadership in their field.
