Man City lose further grounds as Spurs win at the Etihad

Manchester City's title hopes were dealt a heavy blow after Tottenham won 2-1 courtesy of a late winner.

The win saw Spurs overtake Arsenal on goal difference who had defeated Leicester City in a pivotal day in the title race.

Harry Kane converted from the penalty spot after Raheem Sterling was penalized for handball. The decision infuriated Manuel Pellegrini who felt the decision was harsh.

Kelechi Iheanacho equalised with a fine effort after a cross from Gael Clichy.

Just as City thought they had done enough to secure at least a point, Erik Lamela picked out a great run from Christian Eriksen who slotted home in the 83rd minute to claim all three points and close the gap to two points at the top of the table.
