Former world number 4 retires from Tennis

Former world number four, Robin Soderling has announced his retirement from professional tennis. 

He  suffering from glandular fever since 2011 and hence had not been able to compete in any ATP world tour event since the onset of the illness. Robin Soderling made history when he became the first man to beat Rafael Nadal at the French open, back in 2009, and went on to beat Roger Federer on the same court the following year. 

He took to his Twitter page to thank his fans and supporters.


He reached the French Open final of 2009 and 2010 as well as the quarter finals at Wimbledon and US Open.
