Celine Dion seen for the first time since husbands death

Award winning singer Celine Dion, is seen for the first time since the January 14 death of her 73-year-old husband René Angélil.

The 47-year-old singer, all dressed in black, gets hugs from her friends, before going to Canada for her husbands funeral. 

This apperance comes just two days before Rene Angélil's funeral, which will be held at the Notre Dame Basilica in Montreal. The church is also where the couple got married in 1994.

Dion isn't only grieving over the passing of her husband. Her bother also died this month. On January 16, just two days after René died from throat cancer, her brother Daniel Dion lost his battle at aged 59 with brain, tongue and throat cancer.

Both Celine and Rene have been married for 21years and as well as serving as her manager since she was a teenager.

A Chapel of Rest will be open to the public to pay a last tribute to René Angélil, on Thursday, January 21 from 2pm to 9pm.

Friday, January 22, 2016

A religious service will be celebrated on Friday, January 22 at 3pm.

In addition, a Celebration of Life will be held in Las Vegas on February 3, 2016 at the Caesars Palace Colosseum from 7:00pm to 9:00pm.

The family invites all those who would like to make a contribution to make a donation to the Azar-Angelil Research Chair for ORL Cancer.
