Arsene Wenger says Lionel Messi will win the 2015 Ballon d‘Or
award ahead of Cristiano Ronaldo and Neymar. He, however, reiterated that he
was against the concept behind the award.
The Argentine is the favourite to secure the award for the
fifth time in his career ahead of his Real Madrid rival. The Arsenal manager believes
that Barcelona’s successful trophy haul in 2015 should make Messi the winner.
“I am a big enemy of the Ballon d’Or,” said Wenger.
“It is certainly Messi who will win it, although I am not a
big fan of it. It has to be a Barcelona player, when you pick a Barcelona
player, it is certainly Messi.”
