Minister of Health assures the eradication of Lassa Fever

The minster of health, professor Isaac Adewole, has assured Nigerians that Lassa Fever would be completely eradicated this year in the country.

He was speaking to journalists yesterday and said the federal government had make plans to set up 10,000 primary health care centers across the 109 senatorial districts in the country to tackle the fever.

The minister said 5000 centers will be established this year.

In addition, a Lassa Fever eradication  committee has also been set up. The president of the nigerian academy of science, professor Oyewalr Tomori, is the chairman of the 19man committee.
