Nigera's Super Eagles defeats Cote d'Ivoire in Pretoria friendly


Nigeria’s Super Eagles defeated their Elephants of Cote d’Ivoire 1-0 in a friendly match ahead of the African Nations Championship.

The match, which took place in at the Tuks Stadium in Pretoria, was a tune match up before the team departs for Rwanda. El Kanemi midfielder, Ifeanyi Mathew, scored the goal that separated the two sides just before half time in the 45 minutes.

The victory comes after the 1-1 draw with Angola in Pretoria. Sunday Oliseh and his team are expected to arrive Rwanda on January 15, three days before their opening game against Niger Republic in Kigali, Rwanda.
