Luciano Spalletti appointed new coach of Roma




Luciano Spalletti has returned to Roma as the new head coach following the dismissal of Rudi Garcia.

The 56-year old, who left for Zenit in 2009, arrived at the club’s training ground on Thursday to complete his return and will look to arrest Roma run of poor form which has seen them win just one in seven league games.

During his first stint, the Italian coach guided the side to two Coppa Italia and a Supercoppa Italiana during his four year spell in charge. He enjoyed success in Russia where he won two Russian Premier League title in 2014 before he was fired. He ends a two year period during which he has been out of a job.
