China expels French Journalist

China is expelling Ursula Gauthier from its country for her coverage of the treatment of its Muslim Uighur minority. The French Journalist had questioned the treatment of the minority in the north western region of Xinjiang. 

The Chinese Foreign Ministry on Saturday confirmed that her press credential will not be renewed and this means Ms. Gauthier cannot apply for a new visa. This means she will have to leave China by 31 December.

Her publication, suggested that China was using the Paris attacks to justify crackdown on Uighur people.
