The Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission,
EFCC, Ibrahim Magu has disclosed that Jafaru Isa has returned N100 million of
the amount he got from the diverted funds meant for purchase of arms.
Jafaru Isa, who is President Buhari’s close associate, was
arrested recently for receiving N170 million from former National Security Adviser,
Col Sambo Dasuki. The EFCC boss also said the Isa signed an undertaking to
refund the balance. He, however, said that in spite of the refund, he would
still be prosecuted.
The EFCC boss was speaking during an interactive session
with journalist in Lagos and said that the war against corruption has only just
begun. Magu added that Olisa Metuh said he would rather go on hunger strike
than refund the N400 million he allegedly collected from Dasuki.
