Tel Aviv shooting suspect killed

Nashat Melhem, an Israeli Arab, who is wanted over a deadly attack at a bar in Tel Aviv on January 1 has been killed by security forces in northern Israel.

The suspect was tracked down to a mosque and was then killed in a gun battle with security operatives.

The attack in Tel Aviv had led to a massive hunt across the country. Police said Nashat Melhem was the gunman who killed two Israelis at a bar and also murdered the Israeli car driver who had picked him up after the attack.
