Guus Hiddink optimistic about the future

Guus Hiddink has addressed the media for the first time since being appointed manager ahead of the Watford. He states that he was confident that the team possessed enough quality to make their way up the league table.

Speaking in a busy media room at Cobham ahead of his first game in charge on Boxing Day, the Dutchman explained how he feels to be back for a second spell in charge of the Blues. He stated: "I shouldn't be here halfway through the season because it means things aren't going well as forseen at the beginning of the season, but I'm glad to be back," said Hiddink.
The Dutchman had been out of a job for a few month following the poor showing of the Dutch national team during the European qualifiers. Holland missed out on a place in the 24-team tournament holding next summer in France.
