Fire kills dozen in Saudi Hospital Maternity ward and ICU

31 people were killed while over 100 were injured in an overnight fire at a hospital in the Saudi province of Jizan, the Saudi government said.

The cause of the fire remains unknown. It broke out in the early hours of Thursday around the hospital's intensive care, maternity and neonatal care wards, Saudi Civil Defense spokesman Maj. Yahya bin Abdullah al-Qahtani said.

Investigations are currently underway and the full details of the victims are yet to be made public. Saudi Arabia have suffered from these unfortunate events this year and this year witnessed a crane collapse that claimed the lives of hundreds of pilgrims during this year's Hajj.
